Associate Architect

As an Associate Architect, you'll be at the forefront of project delivery, responsible for managing multiple schemes from inception through to completion. You will play a key role in maintaining design and technical excellence while ensuring deadlines, budgets, and client expectations are met.
Beyond project work, you'll contribute to the wider growth of the practice - whether that's developing client relationships, securing new business, or mentoring junior team members. A commercial mindset and the ability to think strategically about project resourcing, fee proposals, and business development are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Leadership: Oversee the delivery of large-scale projects in the housing and mixed-use sectors - both remediation, retrofit and new build .
* Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as a key point of contact, fostering strong relationships with clients, consultants, and external partners.
* Business Development: Identify and pursue new opportunities, contribute to bids and fee proposals, and help drive the practice's continued success.
* Design & Technical Excellence: Ensure projects maintain the highest standards in both design and technical delivery, with a focus on remediation rather than new-build.
* Team Resourcing & Management: Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and supporting professional development.
* Revit Proficiency: Maintain and promote best practices in Revit, ensuring smooth project work flows and coordination.
* Project Deadlines & Budgeting: Take responsibility for meeting key milestones and managing financial aspects of projects effectively.
About You
* 12+ years' experience working in respected UK practices with a proven track record in remediation-led housing and mixed-use schemes.
* Strong technical knowledge, with the ability to oversee complex projects.
* Experience managing teams, resources, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Commercially minded, with experience in business development and client engagement.
* Proficient in Revit (essential).
* A well-presented, clean and concise portfolio showcasing relevant project experience.
