They are looking for an experienced Electric and Shared Mobility Programme Coordinator, with a background in Engineering and Surveying, to help them lead the charge in this dynamic and rapidly evolving sector.
Role Overview:
As the Electric and Shared Mobility Programme Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating, planning, and implementing electric and shared mobility initiatives within the borough. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, planners, and external stakeholders, to ensure the successful delivery of projects that align with their vision for a sustainable transport future.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and oversee the implementation of electric vehicle infrastructure and shared mobility projects.
* Liaise with internal teams and external partners, including contractors, transport operators, and local businesses, to ensure seamless project delivery.
* Conduct surveys, feasibility studies, and assessments to inform the planning and development of mobility solutions.
* Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Provide technical support and guidance on engineering and surveying aspects of mobility projects.
* Contribute to policy development and strategic planning in relation to electric and shared mobility.
* Engage with the community and stakeholders to promote awareness and uptake of sustainable transport options.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
Requirements:
* Degree in Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
* Proven experience in managing and delivering projects related to electric vehicles, shared mobility, or sustainable transport.
* Strong understanding of engineering principles, surveying techniques, and project management methodologies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
* Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including CAD, GIS, and project management software.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Desirable:
* Comprehensive understanding of current issues and developments affecting transport, planning, the environment and local government in London.
* Comprehensive understanding of main central government, Mayoral and borough plans and policy issues relating to sustainable transport and planning - in particular around electric vehicle charging infrastructure and shared mobility services.
* Comprehensive understanding of relevant transport, highways and planning legislation and good appreciation of related legislation including local government and procurement legislation.
* Good knowledge of sustainable transport and highways and public realm scheme design principles, in particular the interface between different road users.
* Good level of political awareness and knowledge of the operation of local government.
