We are seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our client as a Quantity Surveyor, looking for someone who wants to join a collaborative team with proven experience leading the way in the commercial fit out environment in London.
**Responsibilities:**
- Commercially manage fit-out projects in the commercial office sector, ensuring effective cost control, budget management, and contract administration.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, including designers, contractors, and subcontractors, to ensure accurate and timely cost forecasting and financial reporting.
- Prepare and review tender documents, bills of quantities, and contract documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess progress, identify variations, and manage change requests.
- Prepare and negotiate subcontractor agreements, including the assessment of subcontractor valuations, payments, and final accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of project budgets and cost estimates, providing accurate and timely cost advice to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Manager to assess and manage project risks and opportunities, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and resolution of commercial issues.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quantity surveying and commercial management.
**Requirements:**
- Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, preferably within the commercial office fit-out sector.
- Sound knowledge of quantity surveying practices, contract administration, and cost management.
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and financial information.
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
