Residence Operations Manager

Are you an experienced manager coming from an operations / accommodation / reception / Higher education background?

An exciting opportunity is available to work for a prestigious London University based in their Residence operations team.

The role:

• As the key front-line off icer for the residence, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the
• day-to-day running of reception services including the line management of staff.
• The Operations Manager will work within a team and deputise for other Operations Managers in the division when needed.
• The Operations team consists of the front of house teams in each of the halls, the
• Residential Services Office and the Residences Systems Team.

Key Duties of the role:

• To ensure that a warm and welcoming environment is created with an emphasis on excellent customer service.
• To ensure that the property management system ref lects accurately the correct dates and charges for guest and student reservations, taking into account any amendments that might arise during the stay.
• To be the Key User for the hall, in respect of sof tware systems including the property management system, parcel management , finance, and estates maintenance systems.
• To collaborate closely with the third-party facilities management team to ensure that
• housekeeping, maintenance and security services are delivered to an excellent standard in the hall.
• To support the Accommodation office to maximise sales in the hall. To assist with roomviewings and ensure that rooms are maintained to the correct standard to ensure prompt resale.

Key Skills and experience:

• Proven experience of managing a team in a customer facing environment
• Experience of delivering excellent customer service in the hospitality sector
• Knowledge of student accommodation in the Higher Education sector would be benfioficial
• Experience of using a Property Management System
