Lead Commissioning Manager - Internal

Our client is a leading provider of data centre solutions, offering a wide range of services to support businesses of all sizes. They have a large and growing presence in the UK and Europe and are expanding over the next five to ten years

Their data centres are located in key urban business areas, providing businesses with the connectivity and reliability they need to succeed. Their focus on innovation and customer service has made them a trusted partner for business

Responsibilities:
* Give internal and external customers/ stakeholders confidence in Commissioning process
* Deliver commissioning activity to time/cost/quality. Using initiative and common sense to balance the competing requirements.
* Ensure new designs can be commissioned sensibly within programme time and budget constraints
* Work collaboratively with the project team
* Develop strong working relationships at senior levels with a pool of external Commissioning agent companies
* Works may include some short visits to our main European hubs

Requirements:
* Able to give confidence in the project commissioning activities internally and with selected providers of CX1 services
* Has a good understanding of data centre engineering principles, and the practical understanding of how systems operate once installed
* Able to manage programmes and budgets
* Must have a mix of engineering & delivery capability
* Ability to manage, and take measured decision regarding project risk
* Knowledge of the level 1-6 data centre commissioning process
* Able to apply different management styles as needed - e.g. with internal teams, external consultants, difficult contractors etc.
