A forward thinking interior fit out contractor who have extensive industry knowledge working specifically in the commercial fit out and life science sector are on the market seeking an up and coming Health and Safety professional to support the existing SHEQ Manager in overseeing Health and Safety across multiple projects.

They are looking for someone with career aspirations and willingness to grow and develop within their tea.

Responsibilities

- Support existing SHEQ Manager to:-

-Develop, implement, and manage health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on health and safety matters, promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organisation.
- Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent re occurrence.
- Coordinate health and safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders on health and safety matters.

Requirements:

- NEBOSH Construction certificate preferred
- Grad or Tech IOSH membership preferred.
- Previous experience in the construction industry, particularly in fit out and refurbishment projects would be preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
